The Prayer on the Sycamore is the prayer of many poor little figs – each for the others. 🌳🤠

It is a place where you can entrust your intention and join in a shared prayer.

Since 1 June, for 90 days, I have been praying every day for the intentions entrusted to the Prayer on the Sycamore, publishing short prayers on social media and bringing the intentions I receive to the Eucharist.

In addition, a Holy Mass is offered once a month for the intentions entrusted to this initiative.

If you need prayer for yourself, your family, your marriage or any other important matter, you can leave your intention below.

Why a sycamore?

From the very beginning, the story of Zacchaeus moved me more than the tree itself.

He was an influential man, wealthy and well known. And yet he brought himself to do something that many might have found ridiculous or humiliating – he climbed a tree in order to see Jesus.

Shame did not stop him.
The opinion of others did not stop him.
His own past did not stop him.

And Jesus did not pass him by.

He stopped precisely beneath his tree.

And he did something no one expected.

He did not go to the people admired for their piety.
He did not choose those whom everyone considered righteous.

He went to the man people pointed at.

To a sinner.

This Gospel passage reminds me that God is not looking for perfect people.

He comes to those who are searching for him.
To those who fall.
To those who sometimes have no strength left.
To those who want to see him, even from the branches of their own sycamore.

🤠🌳 And that is exactly why this story became the inspiration for the Prayer on the Sycamore.

What does the Prayer on the Sycamore look like?

The Prayer on the Sycamore is not a community, an organisation or a closed group.

It is a simple initiative of shared prayer among people who believe that it is worth standing before God not only with our own affairs, but with the intentions of others as well.

📟 A 90-day prayer has been under way since 1 June.

Every day I publish a short prayer on social media and encourage people to entrust their own intentions to God.

🙏 I bring all the intentions sent to me to the Eucharist, asking God for grace, consolation, healing, conversion and strength for those who entrust them.

⛪ Once a month a Holy Mass is also offered for the intentions entrusted to the Prayer on the Sycamore.

There are two ways you can join this initiative:

🤠 by entrusting your own intention

🤠 by praying for the intentions of others

I believe that prayer makes sense.

Even when God’s answer comes differently, or later, than we expect.

Because sometimes the greatest gift is knowing that we are not carrying our burdens alone.

Entrust your intention

If you need prayer, you can leave your intention here: I am leaving my intention

You do not have to describe everything in detail. God knows your story, even if it is hard to put into words.

🙏 I entrust every intention I receive to my daily prayer and to the Eucharist.

⛪ Once a month a Holy Mass is also offered for the intentions of the Prayer on the Sycamore.

„Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
(Mt 11:28) 🤠
