Jesus at the Stadium 2025 – worship at the Legia stadium in Warsaw

Who if not us, Dzika & Figa, would love a creative concept as wild as praying together with others, for the glory of the Lord, at the much sought-after Legia stadium in Warsaw?

Instead of whistles, insults and swearing – prayer. Instead of a roar – worship with one voice. Instead of famous sports stars – many charismatic speakers. Instead of waves of supporters – hearts and consciences stirred. It was beautiful, for the glory of the Lord!

The Legia stadium – an unusual place for prayer

The retreat Jesus at the Stadium 2025 was held under the motto: The world wounds, God heals.

For years this evangelisation event has gathered the faithful from all over Poland. The programme included conferences, intercessory prayer, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and a worship concert.

Among those taking part were:

• worship bands and Christian musicians known from retreats across Poland

This was not a spectacle.
It was not a religious event to be ticked off a list, because the weather spared no one.
It was a great stirring of hearts of stone.

God does not need a stadium

Let us say it plainly.

God does not need a stadium.
He does not need floodlights.
He does not need a stage.

It is we who need an awakening. In a Catholic country we really do need to be woken out of deadness and out of an ossified traditionalism.

…because it is easy to fall into religious routine.
…into a Sunday presence with nothing stirring.
…into correctness without fire, without joy and without courage.

Thousands of people, one Name – Jesus!

The Adoration chapel, with the most beautiful image of Our Lady carrying Jesus beneath her heart, gathered a great many people praying in silence. Numerous confessionals and a chance at a new life. In Jesus everything is new; in Jesus everything begins again.

Going beyond the standard

Going to „Jesus at the Stadium” meant stepping outside the standard of Catholic comfort.

It is easier to stay at home.
It is easier to say that it is raining.
It is easier to click on another video online.

It is harder to brace yourself and stand out in the rain.
It is harder to open yourself to something new.

But that is exactly what is sometimes needed – so that faith stops being theory.

The Gospel according to St Mark 7:6–8 and 7:13:

„This people honours me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
In vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.
You have set aside the commandment of God and hold to human tradition.”

(…)

„And so you nullify the word of God by the tradition you have handed on. And you do many other things like this.”

Jesus at the Legia stadium – a manifesto of faith

God knows my heart, he knows me best. He knows that I do not like standards, templates, tidy and predictable plans. I go all in or I do not go at all. I cry, and when I cry I do it with my whole self and spontaneously. When I laugh, I laugh so that people look at me oddly, because I laugh at the wrong moment. When I sing, I sing at the top of my voice, and I dance as though no one were watching. Wild for God? Wild for him? That is me all over. So an event like Jesus at the Stadium was not something we could possibly miss.

For this miracle, for those who designed this gathering, for everyone who overcomes their comfort zone for you, for every person singing, playing, speaking and reciting. For the sponsors and the donors, and finally for your own script for that Saturday evening! As always – it was original!
