Glory to Him – Atlas Arena, Łódź

When Jesus Christ was glorified

„The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.” (Jn 12:23)

These words kept coming back to me as I stood in the crowd at the Atlas Arena in Łódź. I was bursting with pride, because my God deserves everything that is best, most beautiful, the very most!

The staging, the lighting, the music, the dancers and the representatives of the Catholic Church. All of it so that God might be glorified! Amen!

On 23 and 24 August 2025 the event Chwała Mu at the Atlas Arena in Łódź drew thousands of people. A hall that usually pulses with sport and music filled with prayer. It was crowded. It was different from worship in a church – but does a God of such variety not deserve variety in return?

The Łódź that cried out „Glory to Him”

When the worship community led the singing and thousands of hands were raised, there was nothing theatrical about it. There was a decision.
Sometimes faith is as quiet as adoration.
And sometimes it is like David crying out before the Ark – full of strength, movement and courage.

Among those who appeared on stage were Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś and Bishop Artur Ważny. Their words built us up, lifted our spirits and drew us towards Love.

And all of it was organised by the Rozpal Wiarę Foundation – people who have the courage to say publicly that faith is not a private matter, and that every human being matters in God’s eyes.

Until the Son is glorified

Jesus says: „And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself” (Jn 12:32).

We can worship the Lord with everything we have!

With a gesture.

With a glance.

With our voice.

With dance.

With song.

With the recitation of the Word of God.

With our lives.

In one single sound: Glory to Him!

Glory to the Lord! We were able to be there, we were able to worship the Lord!

We are also grateful for the hospitality, for long night-time conversations, and for a place to stay with our friend Fr Jacek, who together with his cats received us with great warmth and kindness – like a true brother.
